Make sure that your battery is completely charged by connecting it to its power adapter or to its USB wall socket adaptor for 8 hours or until the battery charging icon turns green on the screen.

If unit appears not to boot or loops, it could be that your tablet has completely de-charged and will need some time to recharge fully before boot.

Make sure your Wi-Fi or 3G Internet connection is working...

Many applications will not work if your tablet is not connected to the Internet.

What version of Android™ is on the devices?

Depending on the model you have purchased the version of android may vary but can easily be found by going to your Apps > Settings > About Device > and there you will find your version.

What is Android™?

It is the most popular software platform for portable devices. Games and applications of all different types are now available and new exciting ones are yet to come due to its open architecture.

What is the battery life when Wi-Fi is activated?

When the Wi-Fi is activated, on a full charge, you can surf the web for about 2-3 hours continuously (on a medium to low backlight).

The battery on my D2 PAD runs out very quickly, what can I do?

The Android™ Mobile Technology Platform was conceived such that the device can be woken up from suspend triggered from applications (ex: check emails every 10mn). As a consequence if you have network applications running in the background (that are auto launched at boot) that are network hungry (ex: checking the weather every 2 minutes) this will have an impact on the battery drain. If you are not using the Wi-Fi, shut it off. A screen set to maximum brightest also drains energy from the device. Set your device as well to have its screen go off after 2 minutes of non-use. These things will help your battery conserve energy.

The battery of my D2PAD is completely drained and the device will not switch on for it to charge.

Connect it to its power charger/adapter or using the wall socket USB adaptor and the supplied USB cable. When charging over USB it is important to

charge using the wall socket USB adaptor instead of a PC USB port.
use the special USB charging cable that was supplied with the device. Charging from a standard PC USB port or using a different USB cable may result in very slow charging or no charging at all.

If your device is de-charged, the power LED will start flashing (note that on devices where the battery is completely flat, it can take up to 2 hrs of charging time before the LED starts flashing), this means that it is gathering enough charge to start. Once the unit gets enough power it will start by itself (this could take some time). Even when started, do not unplug it until it is fully charged.

How to prolong the usage time of the Battery?

Adjust the brightness of the LCD Screen to proper level in "Brightness setting".
Turn down the volume.
Set the time amount to proper level in "Screen timeout setting".
Turn off Wireless (WLAN, Bluetooth) if not in used.

What USB devices work on the tablet?

Quite a lot of simple USB devices work on Android Tablets via the USB host.

USB flash drives even some USB hard drives (as long as they are self-powered)

(Please be noted that for a USB device to work in Android the drivers need to be there, Google have added drivers for many devices but not for all. The best way to know if your USB device is compatible with Android is to contact the USB device's manufacturer. Or simply plug it in and see.)

I cannot turn on my device, what should I do?

Make sure that your battery is completely charged by connecting it to its power adapter or to its USB wall socket adaptor for 8 hours or until the blue charging indicator light blinks. Also Note that the tablet will not only charge if it is on.

My device "froze". What do I do?

If your device freezes, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds. This will shut off the device. Restart as normal.

OR

Pin the "Reset" button on the side for 10 secs to restart your D2pad.

My tablet seems to be running slower than when I originally got it, what can I do?

Some users experience their tablet seeming to run slower after a few months than when they originally got the tablet. The simple reason for it is what is running… Without you knowing it you may have dozens of apps running in the background on your device, this is eating up battery power and processes making your tablet run slower and last a shorter time between charges.

You can see what apps are running in the System Monitor tool (from Apps > Running). If you recognize apps that are running that you don't ever use, uninstall them. If you see apps that you don't use very much, check in that app settings to see if you can disable to background task.

If all this doesn't seem to have an effect you can reset the tablet very easily from the repair and formatting section of the Settings Menu. Resetting the tablet to factory settings is easy and quite fast (it'll take less than 20 min) and could save you a call to customer support or a return. Though it does mean that you may have to re-download some apps and retransfer your media to the tablet.

How to locate the file downloaded from internet? (not from App Center)

From default setting, all downloads from internet will be saved in the folder called "Download" under internal storage sdcard.

Why the touch panel is not responding (the screen display is working)?

Press Reset button to check the Tablet can be booted into system or not.
Once enter Tablet main page, press Volume button to test the volume is working or not. (Check the system is responding or not)
If system can be rebooted and volume button is working, the touch sensor function might be failed. Please submit a new Ticket at our online Support Center to inform us of the problem and receive RMA instructions.

The tablet is stuck on the Android/D2 booting logo, what should I do?

First try to soft reset the tablet by pinning on reset button located on the back/side of the unit for 10-15 seconds, and then press the power key.

If problem persists, please first refer to question - “I forgot my password to log into the system, what should I do?” under FAQ-Settings section and perform the instructed steps for a factory data reset specific to your tablet model. If the reset does not resolve the problem, please submit a new Ticket at our online Support Centerto inform us of the problem and receive RMA instructions.

Why are there lines across the screen? / Why is part of or the entire screen white?

If there is a visible defect on the screen, please kindly provide a photo of the screen (while the tablet is on) by opening a new Ticket at our online Support Centerand attaching the image file to your message. (NOTE: Max. file size per transfer is 2MB.) We will then examine the defect and proceed with assistance.

Why is my tablet showing an exclamation mark inside a battery? How do I fix this issue?

If your tablet is displaying this icon, then it is out of battery power. Please promptly charge your tablet.

Why is my tablet not holding a charge?

If it appears that your tablet is not charging with the wall charger, please try using the supplied USB cable to see if it will charge then.

(**Please note: The D2-721 model is not supported to charge through the USB port, please open a new Ticket at our online Support Center for replacement.)

If the tablet can charge with the USB cable, then the wall charger may be defective.
If the tablet cannot charge with both the wall charger and the USB cable, please open a new Ticket at our online Support Center to inform us of the problem and receive RMA instructions.

How do I delete files/photos on the tablet?

DII PAD, D2-711, D2-712, D2-911 Units:

Enter the "File Manager" app from your app menu to find the files saved in your internal storage. Locate the file, and then press down on it to bring up its "File Operations" dialogue window. Click "Delete File” and then “Delete.”

D2-721 Units:

Enter the "Explorer" app from your app menu to find the files saved in the tablet’s “Internal Memory.” Locate the file, and then press down on it to bring up its options window. Click "Delete” and then “delete” again to remove the file.

How do I transfer pictures, files, etc. to my external SD card?

DII PAD, D2-711, D2-712, D2-911 Units:

With your micro SD card mounted, please enter the "File Manager" app from your app menu, and click on the third button at the top (with the SD card icon) to display all of the files on the external SD card. Press down on a file to bring up its "File Operations" dialogue window. Click "Copy File" or "Move(Cut) File," then click the second button at the top (with the hard drive icon) and select the folder in which you would like to paste/move the file. Once you are in that folder, click the last button at the top (with the paper icon) to Paste or Move that file.

D2-721 Units:

With your micro SD card mounted, please enter the "Explorer" app from your app menu, and click on the "Home" button. You should see 3 items at "Home" - SD Card, Internal Memory, USB.
To transfer a file from your tablet to your micro SD card, please enter "Internal Memory" to locate the file. Once located, press down on the file name until an options window appears. Press "Copy" then return "Home" to enter "SD Card." From there, click the "Editor" button on the top, and choose "Paste” to finish moving the file.

How to clean the device?

Wipe the device using a clean cellulose sponge or chamois cloth (i.e. 3M clean cloth) For preventing wrong operation, it is suggested to clean the device after power off.

What shall I do if the screen breaks?

Unfortunately, our 1 year limited warranty does not offer a replacement service for accidentally damaged products, nor do we sell parts for self-repair.

How can I personalize my Homescreen?

You can add app shortcuts and widgets and change the wallpaper for your Homescreens from the icon in the top right of your Homescreen. From the tabs choose which type you want to add, sliding left and right to scroll through them. Long press and drag the app or widget you want to the homescreen you want to add it to.

What are these widget things that Android has?

Widgets are a great invention. They are like little apps that you can place on one of the homescreens of your tablet like you would place an icon. More than just a shortcut to an application, Widgets can show you information like the latest news or your email inbox without having to launch an application. And on Honeycomb you can even interact with what is shown whether it is by scrolling through your inbox mails in the email widget or by pausing and changing tracks in the music widget. You can even resize some widgets (by long pressing and moving the blue diamonds) to give you more browser favorites for example in the favorites widget.

You can add widgets to your homescreens from the icon in the top right of the homescreen.

How can I transfer files from my PC to my D2 Pad?

Drag and drop is by far the easiest method to transfer content to your tablet from your PC.

Connect the USB cable to your D2 Pad and PC.
Once connected, touch "USB" icon on right bottom corner and select "USB connected".
Touch "Turn on USB storage".
Once connected successfully, it should be recognized immediately by your PC. Open 'My Computer' and you will see your tablet in the list. Double click the icon then double click 'Internal Storage' and you will see the file structure of your tablet. Now you just need to drag the content that you want from the folder on your PC to the tablet. For ease of content management in the library, we recommend that you put video files in the Video folder, music files in the Music folder and image files in the Pictures folder.

How to recover the factory status?

Click "Settings" → "Backup & Reset" → "Factory data reset" to clear all user setting and recover the system to the default status.

Please kindly be noted that some models (like D2-711) may require extra step as to select roboot system now.

(Note: All installed applications and user personal data will be erased (emails, contacts...etc.). Data saved in the internal storage like photos, music files and others will not be erased.) Make sure to back up all your files first.

What is the different between "Reset Button" and "Factory Data Reset"?

Reset button- It is a physical button on the tablet case. It helps to restart the system compulsively when system halted.
Factory reset- It is a reset which can be performed from system "Settings" → "Backup & Reset" → "Factory data reset". Once reset, all settings will be restored to factory default settings and user will be required to do the initial setting.

What is the Android system recovery?

The Android system recovery utility is an add-on recovery tool for the device. Wrong operation or misuse might cause system abnormal and data/application lost. Please use it with care.

How to type special characters from virtual keyboard in device (i.e. à á â ã ä å)?

On virtual keyboard, simply tap and hold on particular letter to bring up special characters for selection.
(i.e. when tap and hold on letter "a", special characters "à á â ã ä å" will be displayed for selection.)

I forgot my password to log in to the system, what should I do?

If you have forgotten the screen lock password, you must reset the tablet to its factory default settings.

**NOTE: Once reset, all settings will be restored to factory default settings and the user will be required to redo the initial settings. Also, all installed applications and user personal data will be erased. Please find the correct reset method that corresponds to your D2 Pad model:

D2-727 Units:

Turn off your tablet.
Once off, click and hold down the Volume + button.
Without letting go of the Volume + button, click and hold down the Power button.
Hold both buttons down for about 10 to 15 seconds, until the D2 logo pops up on the screen. Then release both buttons.
In a few seconds, an Android robot icon will be displayed laying on its back, with a red triangle on top of it.
Click and hold the Power button, then press the Volume + button one time. This will lead you to the Android System Recovery selection screen.
Using the Volume - button, scroll down the list to "wipe data/factory reset," then press the Power button to select it.
Using the Volume - button, scroll down the list to "Yes -- delete all user data," then press the Power button to select it.

D2-721 Units:

Please re-flash the tablet’s firmware as instructed below.
Please kindly be advised and understand that the firmware installation will require a 3rd party software called "RKBatchTool" to first be installed onto your PC.

Start by clicking the correct instructions and OS Firmware download location, based on your D2 Pad's serial number AND your PC's system type (32-bit or 64-bit).

DII Pad - D201209/D201210XXXXXX Units:

Power off the unit and wait for a few seconds to make sure that it is completely shut off.
Press and hold the Volume +, -, and Power buttons all together at same time and keep holding until a blue screen appears.
Select "Wipe Data/Factory Reset" by using the Volume buttons to navigate up and down, and the Power button as select.
Select "Yes – Delete All User Data" -> "Reboot System Now"

If the above method is not working, you can also try to intall the latest Firmware upgrade released under products> downloads page to overwrite the entire settings.

How to change my password?

In order to change your password, go to:
Settings → Security → Screen lock → Password

If you already have a set password for your D2 Pad, you will first be prompted to "Confirm your password" by inputting your current password. Then, click into "Password" again to enter your new password in "Choose your password." You will be prompted to enter it twice.

How to select entire image as my wallpaper from my own photo gallery?

First, Install the app called "PicSpeed HD Wallpapers 300,000" from 1Mobile Market place. Then, go to the Gallery (Super-HD Player), select an image, and then go to the menu and select "Set picture as"
A dialog with a list of “Set as” options will pop up. Please select the one called "Set as Wallpaper".
It will give you a UI including three icons directly underneath the picture. One of them is widescreen–select that, and the image will be used without cropping. (Please keep the "Scrollable" option checked, then hit "Set".)

How to disable "Talk Back" function?

If you are experiencing situation such as yellow outline appears everywhere and your d2pad has voice on the background on each of your step, you have accidentally turned on the "Talk Back" function. Please try to do followings to disable it:

Please scroll down by using two fingers and look for "accessibility".
Double-click on Accessibility and double click on "TalkBack" option.
On the top right, double click on the "On" button and turn off talk back.
Double-click on Ok.

Please be noted that "Talk Back" function is not set by default, you may also perform factory reset if above is not working.

How do I set up an email account on the tablet?

Open the email application and follow the on screen instructions. For many standard web mail systems the email app will auto-configure based on your email address.
If it does not recognize the email account provider it will ask you for the POP3, IMAP or Exchange server settings for the account on the second screen of the setup wizard. You can get these settings from your email account supplier or from your network administrator.

Encountering "Certificate Error" while setting up e-mail

When encountering “Certificate Error” while attempting to set up your e-mail account through the pre-installed email app and/or web browser, please follow the steps below:

From the home screen, click on “Settings” -> “Security” -> “Credential Storage”.
“Trusted credentials” and “Install from SD card” should be lit up. “Clear credentials” should be dimmed.
If “Clear credentials” is lit up, please click it to remove all certificates. It should then be dimmed.
If the problem persists, and you encounter “Certificate Error, check date and time,” go to “Settings” -> “Date / time” to change your time zone, date and time.
At this point, we also suggest going into 1Mobile Market to download the specific app for your e-mail account, such as Yahoo! Mail or Hotmail.

I'm having problems connecting over Wi-Fi. What should I do?

Check that your Wi-Fi router/modem is working correctly – try it with another Wi-Fi device (ex: friend's laptop).
Check your Wi-Fi router/modem documentation to see if it has a pairing button that needs to be pressed. Some modems have such a button that must be pressed the first time you try to make a Wi-Fi connection with a new device.
Make sure that you are relatively close to the modem/router when make your first connection. Later you can test to see how far away you can still get a Wi-Fi signal.
Try connecting to a friend's Wi-Fi access point (one that uses a different modem) to see if reacts the same way. If it connects, then you know that you should set your Wi-Fi router/modem with similar parameters.)
Turn off the Wi-Fi then turn it back on again. Go to Apps > Settings > Wi-Fi and slide to "OFF" then back to "ON". Your Wi-Fi access point should show up and listed on the right display panel. If you still have trouble locate your access point, please tap "SCAN" on right corner to recheck all access availability again.
If you have to enter a password (an security code of type WEP or WPA) be very careful that you do not confuse a 1 and I (one and letter "I"), a 0 and O (zero and letter "O"), or U and V. These are common mistakes.

When entering a security code for your Wi-Fi access, check the box "Show password" which will allow you to see exactly what you are typing in. This will avoid any mistakes.

Where to find my D2 PAD "MAC Address"?

Please goes to "Settings"> "Wi-Fi" > on the right top corner, click on the icon > click on "Advanded". you will be seeing your MAC address listed on the display.

Having Wi-Fi "Authentication" Issue?

Check your WiFi router/modem documentation to see if it has a pairing button that needs to be pressed. Some modems have such a button that must be pressed the first time you try to make a WiFi connection with a new device.
Reset Modem/Router - UNPLUG for 30 seconds to ensure that it fully resets.
Test the internet connection with other devices (home computer, smartphone) to ensure that the Wi-Fi capability is working.
Be sure to have the correct password for your home Wi-Fi. If your internet was installed through a technician, you may not have the correct password. (Some modems have different passwords for different security methods.)
Make sure SHOW PASSWORD is enabled so you can confirm that the password is typed correctly. Some passwords may also be case-sensitive.
If the tablet still will not connect to Wi-Fi after performing the steps above, then there may be an issue with the router connecting to Android sysstem. Please perform a simple incremental test on the router if you can modify its settings. For example, start with no security at all, no WPA, no WEP, etc. If it connects, go to next step. Then, keep security disabled but just enable WPA and a simple password for the WiFi, such as "myshortpass" or even "aaa" and test connection. Continue until it connects.

*Please contact your wireless network provider for assistance on obtaining Wi-Fi information and possible firmware updates.

Why my Wi-Fi connection won't stay connected on my D2-721 while in sleep mode?

Please goes to "Settings"> "Wi-Fi" to re-connect to Wi-Fi. The CPU used on this model is not set to stay connected under sleep mode by default.

I downloaded an app I don't want anymore, how can I uninstall it?

Uninstalling an application to get more space is pretty easy. Just go to Settings > Apps then tap the app that you want to uninstall from the list and tap the uninstall button. Android will ask you if you are sure, tap OK and the app will uninstall.

How do I download apps?

Your tablet comes with the 1Mobile Market for downloading free applications. There are over 200,000 applications available on the 1Mobile Market in a wide range of genres and uses.

You will find a shortcut to the Market app on the homescreen or in the Apps section of your device.

Note that you need to be connected to the Internet to use the 1Mobile Market.

What do I do if an app gets stuck or functions incorrectly?

The app you are having problem may have bug or compatibility issue with our D2 pad. Please check with your pre-loaded 1Mobile Market for update.

Please kindly note that not every application is compatible with every device. If this is the only app that has exhibited an issue, we would highly recommend you to contact the app developer for further assistance.

Why the direction of Tablet rotation is not matched with the application (e.g. game)?

The installed application is designed for cell phone as the cell phone is vertical type design but Tablet is horizontal type design.

How to retrieve the installed applications after factory data reset?

Please be sure to backup all your apps.

Can I use my Tablet for reading eBooks?

Yes, you can. The most common ebook format is .epub. There are plenty of applications available to download from the 1Mobile Market that read .epub files. As well as plenty of applications that sell ebooks for you to read inside the application. The most common international ebook app is Aldiko (which reads .epub files).

Can I use my Tablet for reading newspapers?

Yes, you can. There are quite literally hundreds if not thousands of news apps available. Your favorite newspaper may even have their own application in the 1Mobile Market, try and search for it.

So that you can have up to the date news, we have preinstalled Pulse News for tablets on your Pulse News compiles up to the date news from reporting agencies, and allows you to create your own news alerts on specific subjects and it comes with widgets for your home screen so that you can see the headlines quickly and easily.

Where do these apps go after I download them?

1Mobile Market will create a shortcut to the application on the homescreen after it is downloaded. If you delete this shortcut then you can find your application again in the Apps list (you can open the app list from the Apps button in the top right of the Home screen).

Can I read 'office' documents on my tablet eg: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF files?

Your tablet come with Kingsoft Office app, which lets you read and edit Word, Excel and PowerPoint files as well as read PDF files.

Kindle App is not working properly on my D2PAD...

Kindle issue was acknowledged happening only on our first generation model noted as Model No. DII PAD. If you are users holding this model, please kindly be noted that we have fixed the latest kindle app issue through the latest update, please go to your D2 pad Downloads page for more details.

How can I remove system pre-loaded app?

For newer Android 4.1 Jelly Bean system model, we currently don't have any solution to delete system App with any application software through market place.

For Android 4.0 users, please go to 1Mobile Market and download an app called “Root App Delete”. Once you installed the Root App Delete, please follow the direction as below:

Open Root App Delete - go to “SysApp” - select the app that you want to remove - click “Disable”, then you will see the screen shows “success” on the top of the SysApp.
Right now, the app that you disable is located at the Recycler section.
At this Recycler section, you can choose to remove the app completely from your D2 Pad by click “Uninstall” or put the app back into your D2 Pad system by click “Enable”

If you do not like this “Root App Delete”, you can download any root app remover from any app store, such as 1 Mobile Market or Amazon App Store, by searching “root app remover” or “system app remover”.

**Please be noted that removing system app will void the warranty coverage.

How to get YouTube app?

If your D2 PAD cannot play YouTube videos through Internet Browser. Please download and install the YouTube app from 1Mobile Market directly by searching YouTube.

How to watch Flash-based videos on the internet browser?

** Please kindly be noted that most of the models have already pre-loaded with the flash player and for models with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean system, please use the recommended "Maxthon Browser" to have best viewer experience for flash based website.

In order for the internet browser to play YouTube videos properly, please try the following actions:

Download Flash Player 11.1 to your PC.
Connect your D2 Pad to your PC with the mini USB-to-USB cable included in the original box.
In 5-10 seconds, the words "USB connected" should appear on the bottom righthand corner of your D2 Pad screen. Click on it. (If you do not see it, please press the right side of the bottom status bar, and it should pop up.)
Once you've clicked "USB connected," the USB Mass Storage page will appear. From there, click "Turn on USB storage," then hit "OK." Your PC will now recognize the D2 Pad driver as "DIIPAD (E:)"
Click the D2 Pad driver to choose where to drag and drop the Flash Player file (“install_flash_player_ics.apk”) from your PC. You should see a list of folders to choose from, such as Documents or Downloads. You may make a new folder as well.
Once you've transferred the Flash Player file, safely eject the D2 Pad driver from your PC.
On your D2 Pad, go to Applications -> File Manager (or "Explorer" in some models), then open the folder that holds the Flash Player file.
Click the file (“install_flash_player_ics.apk”), then click “OK” when asked to replace application. Flash Player 11.1 will now be installed on your D2 Pad.
After the flash player is well installed, please go to the internet browser.
On the top right corner, click the “3 dots” icon and a menu will drop down.
Swipe down all the way to the bottom and click on “Setting.”
On the bottom left click on “Debug.”
The “Browser Mode” option will show. Click on it.
A window will pop up and click on “Android”

This should allow the internet browser to play most of Flash-based videos correctly.

Why my Netflix is not working?

Please check the versions of your Netflix by the following steps:

Go to “System Settings” - on the left side, select “Apps” - on the top right corner, select “ALL” - “Netflix” - under the Netflix name, you will see a version number.
Factory default is Version 1.8.1 build 573. If you have updated your Netflix to the most current update which is version 2.0.1 build 655, then Netflix cannot work and please factory default the D2 Pad.

If it is showing version 1.8.1 build 573 and Netflix is not working:
Please e-mail us again for further assistance or exchange the product at the store of purchase as the product could be a defective unit.

How to restore Netflix back to version 1.8.1?

The only way to solve this issue is to do a factory reset. Please follow the below directions:

Tap on “System Settings”
On the left side, swipe down until you see “Backup / Reset” and tap on it.
On the right side, you will see “Factory Data Reset”, then tap on it.
Tap on “Reset Tablet” (It is optional to check the box for “Erase SD Card”)
Tap on “Erase Everything”.

***Please note that this action will erase every file in your tablet. Please take out all necessary files if needed. The tablet will restore back to its factory default and Netflix should work again.

Why my APPs disappear after move to SDcard?

The only way to prevent APP that moves to SDcard missing/malfunction after you re-mount the SDcard is to change the setting by following steps:

Under "file manager" > select "settings"> check the “show hidden files/folders”
Once checked, the “.android_secure” folder will be displayed under Internal storage list to ensure this funciton has been turned on.
Mount your SD card.
Select an App to move to SD card.
Once you unmounts and re-insert the SD card, you will need to re-start your tablet for the app to function properly.

How do I activate Parental Control on the tablet?

Although the D2 tablet itself does not include special settings to implement parental control, there is a preloaded app named "Kids Place" or "Kido'z" on some models, which is an app that helps parents set their tablets into a special "child’s mode" locked by a PIN. (You also have the option of downloading another parental control app if you wish.) Once you have created a PIN for Kids Place, you may then choose which apps your child may access. Before letting your child use the tablet, simply click on the Kids Place or Kido'z app to activate child’s mode. To exit Kids Place or Kido'z, enter your PIN again.

*NOTE: Please always record your chosen PIN for your own reference as D2 does not have a way of retrieving it if it is forgotten.

To ensure that your child does not access inappropriate materials via the internet browser, we suggest downloading a browser that enforces content filtering.

Why is 1Mobile Market not downloading apps?

If 1Mobile Market is not able to successfully download apps, there may be a few contributing factors:

Internet is not connected, or the connection is spotty. The D2 Pad may automatically disconnect from the wireless network when it sleeps/idles. Please test the web browser to verify that the unit is indeed connected to the internet. To adjust the sleep mode settings, go into Settings -> Display -> Sleep, and choose the amount of idle time before the tablet goes into sleep mode.
App store server is down for maintenance or system update. Please try at different times of the day. Please also try to download an app from Amazon Appstore to see if it is successful.
Need to perform factory reset. Go to Settings -> Backup and Reset, then click on "Factory data reset."
***PLEASE NOTE THAT A FACTORY RESET WILL ERASE ALL DATA ON THE DEVICE. Please back-up your files before you perform the reset.

Why can't I purchase apps from Amazon Appstore even though I have an Amazon account?

Why My D2-727 Google certified tablet will show "Your device isn’t compatible with this version" while downloading some apps from Google Play store?

Since Google Play has a filtering mechanism that won’t let a tablet/mobile download an app if the tablet/mobile specification does not meet certain criteria.

To bypass this and download the apps you want, please do the following:

Go to Google Play and download "1 Mobile Market" app. (the icon is a green "1" with grey/white background). Please make sure that it is the full version and NOT "1 Mobile Market LITE".
After downloaded and installed the 1Mobile app, go back to your home screen and go to "settings", scroll down the left and find accounts section.
Click on "google" and on the right you will see your account.
Click on your account name and there will be a "3 square" icon on the top right corner. Click on it and click "Remove" Account.
Now open up 1mobile market app you've just downloaded.
In "1 Mobile Market", search the app you want. (*Please note that NOT all apps found in Google Play are available in 1Mobile Market and NOT all apps are fully compatible with our tablet.)
After you've downloaded and installed your app, feel free to go back to the accounts section under "settings" and click on "add account" to add your google account back.

The reason for removing your Google account first before installing 1Mobile Market: If Google account is signed in while opening 1Mobile Market, after you search your app and click the install button from 1Mobile Market, it will automatically direct you back to Google Play, which continues to display “Your device isn’t compatible with this version.”

Does the video app read subtitle files? How do I get it to work?

Yes, the Video app can read subtitles. It supports .srt, .ssa, .smi and .sub formats. For it to work you need to put the subtitle file in the same folder as the video on your d2 Pad and for it to have the same name. For example subtitles for "my-video.avi" should be named "my-video.sub". If this is done then subtitles will automatically load and sync with the video when you play it.

Can I download music from online stores and play on my tablet?

Yes, because the most popular online stores now deliver music without Digital Rights Management (non-protected).

What media file formats do the tablets support?

The tablet is known for its extensive range of file support. Almost all music, video and photo formats are supported right out of the box. Please refer to the spec sheets (available on the web site) for specific details on the supported formats.
